What's a singing girl to do when the microphone isn't cooperating? Lip-sync for her life! That's exactly what Epiphany (pictured above) did at the Sherry Vine-less Blonde Leading the Blonde last night at Vlada. (Sherry's off earning frequent flyer miles; don't worry, she'll be back next week). She opened with Lady Gaga's "Telephone"--and took it to the stairs. She worked the room downstairs like a runway during her set, doing her sashay shante to and fro.

She worked the downstairs room because that's where we all were, waiting while they tried unsuccessfully to get the sound system to work. I had already lost count of the cherry infused vodkas I was enjoying with my Wonder Twin, Brian Mills (pictured below), who kept track of his by adding another straw to each refill.

Epiphany closed with her staple Etta James classic, "At Last," and with her wig in her hand. The crowd roared. She joined us for a few more rounds. Of course, Gay Socialite King Ralphy (pictured below) was on hand. As was Gay Socialite Charles Winters.

Also there were Jane Lane (shockingly, without war paint), Jonni Rendi, Nancy Nosecandy, Matthew Herra C, and Demanda (pictured below), who's performing later tonight with Yuhua in the Yuhua Hamaski Show at Boots and Saddles tonight.

We talked and drank and talked and drank some more, pondering where our next stop would be. Nancy Nosecandy (pictured below) waited patiently. Or, maybe she was saving her energy for the dance floor that we were about to rule. More on that in my next post.

After one more for the road--because that cab ride can be long and we wouldn't want to be parched--we headed out. Both Nancy and Kyle (pictured below) were thrilled, as you can see.
